A pandemic-weary Sheboygan area is being given something to celebrate, courtesy of the City of Sheboygan, Kohler Credit Union, and “Launch,” a business venture run by students at Lakeland University. Memorial Day 2021 will feature a 9 AM parade on May 31st in downtown Sheboygan and a ceremony to honor United States veterans and active-duty personnel at Fountain Park, followed by a brat fry.
The City of Sheboygan will host the observance. Sponsorship is being provided by KCU, while Launch is planning the event, led by Lakeland University senior Ali Wilson.
The mission of Lakeland’s Launch venture is to transform students into the next generation of business leaders according to Lakeland’s Director of External Relations David Gallianetti, who said that it’s part of a campus-wide initiative that instills an entrepreneurial mindset across all majors at the school.
Volunteers are needed for this event. Contact Ali Wilson at WilsonA1@lakeland.edu for additional information.
