The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health has revised the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county downward by a single case, putting the total number confirmed so far at 13,171. Also adjusted today: the total number of negative tests was reduced by 11 to 47,058. The active case count declined 14 to 143, and 6 people were hospitalized, down one from yesterday.
The Sheboygan County DPH has consistently advised that such revisions can occasionally take place as local data is aligned with that from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
More than a quarter of Sheboygan County residents have now received at least one dose of vaccine, while 14,509 – or 12.6% – have completed their vaccine series.
Wisconsin added 338 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, raising the running total to 572,770. The positives were 11.5% of returns. No deaths were added today…the last day of increase was this past Saturday when the current toll was established at 6,576. 24 more persons were hospitalized, and after factoring in the discharges, the total COVID patient population rose 14 to 217, 59 of those in ICU beds. 24 who are hospitalized have yet to confirm that COVID-19 is the reason, and the Wisconsin Hospitals Association reports that 397 of the state’s 2,405 ventilators are in use.
