Clarence “Joe” Brown, 85 of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021, after a lengthy illness.
Born August 3rd 1935 in Bronx, New York, Clarence was the son of John Isaac and Lucille Berkeley. On January 11th, 1955, Clarence was united in marriage to Emma Sanchez in New York City. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage before Emma preceded him in death November 30th, 2018.
Clarence served in the United States Air Force from 1952 until 1970. He was employed by the Kohler Company for 30 years before retiring in 2000 and was a proud member of the Quarter Century Club at Kohler Co. Clarence enjoyed learning about new computer technologies, talking on the phone, and visiting with family and friends, but most of all serving as one of the congregation elders as a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Loved and appreciated by many friends in the congregation and the community. He enjoyed sharing his faith in God’s Kingdom and His promised future.
(Revelation 21:3, 4) “. . . With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ‘Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and He will reside with them, and they will be His people. And God himself will be with them. And He [God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
Clarence is survived by daughter Bevoir (Denise) Brown, son-in law Rolf Schultze Berlin Germany, son Anthony Jay Brown Phoenix, (AZ) daughter Elisa Brown, Sheboygan (WI) sisters Joan Brown (New Jersey), Jean Brown (New York), Louise L. Jackson Fayetteville (GA) brother Robert “Butch” Swanson Joliet (IL), nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Michael “Mickie” Chin, brother John “Johnny” Brown, James “Jimmy” Berkeley, and sister Alice Brown.
The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and caregivers at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, Aurora Hospice, and Sunny Ridge for the wonderful care they provided.
A virtual memorial service will take place on Saturday April 10th, 2021 at 1 p.m.
