Saying that local data is subject to change as the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health continues to align with Wisconsin Department of Health Services data, such a change to the death toll was made to statistics reported Monday in the county’s daily report on COVID-19.
The death removed from those associated with COVID-19 was a subject in their 60s. With the revision, one individual of the 132 confirmed deaths was between 10 and 19 years old, three were in their 30s, four were in their 40s, five were in their 50s, twenty-one were in their 60s, twenty-eight were in their 70s and seventy were 80 or older.
30 Sheboygan County tests for COVID-19 received since Friday were positive out of the total 127 results received for a positive percentage of 23.6%. 13,070 cases have been recorded here since the beginning of the pandemic a year ago, 30 more than on Friday. 35 persons recovered, and hospitalizations due to the disease in Sheboygan County declined by 4 to 6.
Since Friday, the State of Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services recorded an additional 1,030 cases of COVID-19, for a total of 569,932 cases. 294 of those were added today, comprising 13% of returns. No deaths were added on Monday, while hospitalizations rose 30 to a total of 212, 57 of those in the ICU. 344 ventilators are in use, and 25 persons suspect COVID-19 for their hospitalization, but still need confirmation. The overall patient population rose by 2.
As for vaccinations, 20% of Sheboygan County’s population – 23,080 – have received at least one dose of vaccine, and 10% have completed their series.
