A week which saw ups and downs in the COVID-19 statistics closed with several decreasing numbers in key criteria reported by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health in Friday’s daily report.
19 of 120 tests received…16%…were positive for COVID-19, and the running total cases since the beginning of the pandemic in Sheboygan County now stands at 12,866. 21 more persons recovered, and the active case count dropped by two to 144. Hospitalizations, at 6, were down three from Thursday.
Wisconsin added 656 positive test results, 12% of all received, to push the total case count to 562,807. The state has dropped below 1,000 daily new cases since 1,239 were confirmed on February 11th. 5 deaths push the toll to 6,399, and with 59 persons entering hospitals – and after accounting for deaths and discharges – the state’s COVID-19 patient population dropped by 27 to 304, 89 of those in ICU beds. 43 patients suspect COVID-19, but are awaiting test results to confirm.
