
Gerald E. “Jerry” Glenzer, age 92, passed away on February 20, 2021, at Rocky Knoll Health Care
Facility in where he had been a resident for the past three years.
He was born on August 30, 1928 a son of the late William and Nellie (Cudworth) Glenzer.
Jerry served his country in the United States Navy.
On June 20, 1970 he married Caroline Damrow in Waukegan, IL. The couple has resided in the Town
of Mitchell for 23 years, the Town of Osceola for 15 years, then in Cascade. They enjoyed fishing and
gardening together. Caroline preceded him in death on April 15, 2013.
He worked at many different jobs throughout his life including: building mobile homes,
painting water towers, woodworking, and was employed at the Armstrong School, and was the
caretaker of the Camp Vista Boy Scout Camp in the Town of Osceola for several years.
Jerry enjoyed watching old western movies, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the
Milwaukee Brewers and loved telling stories about his life. He also loved to make things out of wood and
loved to tease people and would go out of his way to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his sons, many grandchildren, three step-children and many step grandchildren
along with a special niece: Nancy and Jeff Johnson and their family.
Jerry is also survived by many dear friends in the Cascade, Long Lake and Armstrong area along nieces,
nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his step sons.
Following Gerald’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be NO VISITATION OR SERVICES.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Gerald’s name.

and compassion given to him until his final moments.
