The Sheboygan Area School District Board on Tuesday night was convinced that the time was right for a change in learning models for the middle and high schools, and so they’ll go to four days a week in-person learning beginning Monday, February 22nd. And while the transition to a more traditional learning model is now in sight, it’s definitely not “back to normal” and will require some work to adjust staffing, scheduling and space accommodations.
There will still be all the familiar pandemic strategies, such as universal masking and maintaining 6 feet of distance between students and staff, and that may lead to using larger classrooms or overflow rooms to meet all the needs and conditions.
A letter to families advised that there may be changes in bus schedules on the 22nd, and details will be posted on Friday the 19th. And families who chose a virtual second semester will remain that way.
