Statistical changes reported by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health were small in number on Tuesday, as fewer than 90 tests were received in all. 9 of the 89, or 10%, were positive for COVID-19, raising the county’s running total to 12,574 cases. 23 persons recovered since Monday, taking the active case count down by 14 to 242. 2 persons were discharged from hospitalization since Monday, and only 3 persons in Sheboygan County are now hospitalized. August 14th of last year is the last time hospitalizations were that low.
681 Wisconsin residents received positive test results in the last 24-hours, raising the state total to 551,050 with a per-test positive rate of 10%. The Wisconsin DHS has now abandoned the “per-person” positive test metric, and is now focusing on “per-test”. 39 more deaths were attributed to COVID-19 since Monday, and a total of 6,094 Wisconsinites have lost their battle with the coronavirus. 102 more hospitalizations were needed, and 525 COVID-19 patients are now recorded statewide, a drop of 47 since Monday. 133 of those are in ICU beds.
