TAMPA, FL (WHBL) – Tom Brady threw three touchdown passes as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers blasted the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 in Super Bowl 55 in Tampa on Sunday.
Brady finished with 201 yards passing and three touchdowns in winning the game and his fifth Super Bowl Most Valuable Player. It’s the seventh Super Bowl title for Brady and the second for the Bucs’ franchise.
Brady found former Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski twice in the first half for scores, while Leonard Fournette rushed for 89 yards, including a 27-yard TD for Tampa Bay.
Patrick Mahomes threw for 270 yards and two interceptions as Kansas City failed to repeat as Super Bowl champions. Travis Kelce had 133 receiving yards in the loss.
