D. Jane Tews, 89, formerly of Cascade passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Rocky Knoll Health
Care Center where she had resided the past year.
Jane was born on November 22, 1931 a daughter to the late Richard and Irene (Herber) Herriot in
Sheboygan. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1949. She started working in the
administrative offices of the school system while still in school and continued there until several years
after her marriage. On January 21, 1961 she was united in marriage to Wilmer “Bill” Tews at St. John
U.C.C. in Sheboygan. Following her marriage she learned many roller skating dances and downhill skiing.
She and Bill took numerous camping trips to 49 states (never making it to Hawaii), Canada and a trip to
Baja, Mexico. They also took many trips in their airplanes. Bill preceded her in death on December 23,
2019.
Jane was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Adell holding various positions in the
church.
Jane is survived by many cousins and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Jane will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 5 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Adell
with Rev. Christopher Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather at the church, 326 Center Ave., Adell on Friday from 11:30 AM until the
time of service at 1 PM. Masks and social distancing will be required.
Jane’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the caring and wonderful
staff at Rocky Knoll. Your kindness and compassion will be remembered.
