SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, along with the other 71 County Sheriffs in Wisconsin, are calling for calm when Joe Biden is inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States. The local office posted the message on its facebook page last week following the violence at the nation’s Capitol in Washington.
The Badger State Sheriffs’ Association acknowledged that all citizens have the right to voice their concerns, but urged that it be done “with discretion, care, and common sense in mind.”
The Association reminded citizens that law enforcement personnel are sworn to enforce the law, and while they protect constitutional rights, they will also take action when the law is broken – and there are consequences to breaking the law.
Protests are being anticipated nationwide when Biden is inaugurated at 11 AM Central time on Wednesday.
