(WHBL) – 19-year-old Jonathon Erickson of Manitowoc, who is also known as Jonathon Jimenez, will be spending the next nine years in federal prison after being sentenced for possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
The charges date back to April 26th of this year when officers, responding to a disturbance complaint, smelled marijuana coming from a backpack owned by Erickson and located in a nearby vehicle. Contents included marijuana, hydrocodone, ecstasy, Clonazepam and other substances, along with a digital scale and loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun.
Once released, Erickson will spend another seven years on supervised release.
