(WHBL) – Anyone intending to run for public office in Wisconsin’s spring election will need to file their papers by the end of the day this coming Tuesday.
In Sheboygan, the offices up for grabs include the Mayor and all odd-numbered districts, one through nine in this case. Also, the District 2 aldermanic seat will be filled for a one-year term due to a replacement.
Candidates began circulating their nomination papers on December 1st, and the City Clerk must receive the completed papers by 5 PM on Tuesday.
Four have declared their candidacy for Mayor. Those are:
- Mike Vandersteen (incumbent)
- Ryan J. Sorenson
- Joseph M. Vugrinovich
- James W. Tesauro
In District 1, incumbent Barbara Felde and challenger John Brandt have declared their candidacy. In each Districts 2, 3, 5, 7 and 9, only one candidate has declared their intent to run.
