SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – 2020 was the year that forced schools to think out of the box when managing learning and a pandemic at the same time. The scramble of closing the past year’s second semester prepared Sheboygan County’s seven districts for a more orderly plan for the new school year. Now, some districts will be adjusting how they operate within the next few weeks, while others will open 2021 the way they closed the 2020 class year.
Sheboygan Area District schools will remain in virtual learning next week, January 4th through Friday the 8th, and on Monday the 11th, students who have selected the hybrid option will return to in-person learning following the same schedule used in the fall.
The Sheboygan Falls, Plymouth, Howards Grove, Oostburg, and the Cedar Grove-Belgium School Districts all planned to resume classes on January 4th using the same models as in 2020.
Random Lake will continue their “Academic Resource Fridays,” as they’re called, through the end of January. But by February, Superintendent Mike Trimberger hopes that 5-day-per-week classroom instructions can resume.
