BOSTON, MA (WHBL) – Jayson Tatum nailed a go-ahead three-pointer with 0.4-seconds remaining as the Celtics slipped past the Milwaukee Bucks 122-121 in Boston on Wednesday night.
Giannis Antetokounmpo then missed what would have been the game-tying free throw with 0.4 seconds left as the Bucks dropped their season opener. Antetokounmpo finished with a game-high 35 points and 13 rebounds.
Khris Middleton added 27 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists in the loss, while Jrue Holiday scored 25 points in his first game with the Bucks.
Tatum finished with 30 points, while Jaylen Brown netted 33 to pace Boston.
Milwaukee will look to bounce back when it hosts the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day.
