(WHBL) – An arrest was made this week following a November shooting incident that occurred in the Mishicot area in Manitowoc County.
Manitowoc County authorities say on November 23rd, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious unoccupied vehicle in the area of Ridge Road and West Church Street in the township of Mishicot shortly before 4:30am. Officers arriving on the scene observed evidence of shots being fired into the vehicle. While deputies were conducting their initial investigation, a 22 year old Sheboygan man arrived at the Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with a gunshot wound. It was ultimately determined that the shooting occurred in the village of Mishicot and involved a Mishicot juvenile.
On Wednesday, December 2nd, investigators and officers from the Mishicot Police Department arrested a 14 year old male who is being held at the Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center pending his initial appearance for weapons violations.
Police say this was an isolated incident and the public is not in danger.
