WAUWATOSA, WI (WTAQ) — The Mayor of Wauwatosa says that nobody hurt in a Friday afternoon shooting at the Mayfair Mall has suffered life-threatening injuries.
It’s a sigh of relief after a scary afternoon that kicked off when shots were fired inside the suburban Milwaukee area mall, leading to a massive police response that saw several taken away by stretcher, according to video on social media.
Tweets from Wauwatosa Police confirm that the shooting was not a random act.
Preliminary investigation has led us to believe that this shooting was not a random act, and was the result of an altercation. We will continue to work diligently to interview the many witnesses, as well as the victims who were injured, to identify and apprehend the suspect.

Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride said in a statement that a suspect remains at large after the shooting. Eight people in total were hurt according to Wauwatosa police.
