MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly made two trades that have landed them guards Jrue Holiday from New Orleans and Bogdan Bogdanovic from Sacramento.
Numerous outlets including the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel are reporting the trades. The Bucks get Holiday from the Pelicans for Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and three first round picks. They get Bogdanovic for Donte DiVincenzo, Ersan Ilyasova and DJ Wilson.
The Bucks were aiming to put more talent around Giannis as they make a run for an NBA title and try to get him to sign a max extension to stay in Milwaukee. It appears they did that as Holiday and Bogdanovic would be an upgrade at the guard spots.
Holiday is 30 years old and has a player option in his contract for 2021-22 and could become a free agent after one season in Milwaukee. He averaged 19.1 points and 6.7 assists per game last season and is a top defender as well.
Bogdanovic is 28 and averaged 15.1 , 3.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds for the Kings last season. He has a shot a career 37% from three-point range.
