SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Sheboygan County’s number of active COVID-19 cases exceeded 2,000 today, with 2,013 now in the process of battling the disease. 134 of a total 226 test results received were positive, a rate of 59.3%. 90 persons recovered in the last 24-hours, and a total of 5,680 persons in Sheboygan County have now experienced COVID-19. 30 persons are now hospitalized in the county, down 3 from yesterday.
In Wisconsin, another 5,935 test results came back positive since Tuesday, a rate of 36.5%. 54 people died of COVID-19 in the last 24-hours, resulting in a death toll of 2,156.
The Wisconsin Hospitals Association now reports a patient total of 1,747 persons as 243 more persons were hospitalized for COVID-19 since yesterday. 360 of those in the ICU. 6 patients were being treated at the alternate care facility at State Fair Park in West Allis, and 559 patients in all were on ventilators.
