France’s Ugo Humbert saved 10 of 12 break points Wednesday in a 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 upset of No. 2 seed Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain at the European Open in Antwerp, Belgium.
Humbert, who squandered a 5-2 lead in the opening set, fought off four break points in the deciding set to win in two hours and 33 minutes.
No. 4 seed Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria rallied to beat Spain’s Pablo Andujar-Alba 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. No. 5 Milos Raonic of Canada struck 17 aces and won 40 of 44 first-service points in a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win against Slovenia’s Aljaz Bedene. No. 7 Taylor Fritz withstood 19 aces by fellow American Reilly Opelka in a 7-6 (5), 6-1 win. No. 8 Alex de Minaur of Australia defeated Spain’s Feliciano Lopez 6-4, 6-2.

Top-seeded Alexander Zverev of Germany moved into the quarterfinals in Cologne, Germany, with a 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 win against Australia’s John Millman.
Zverev offset 10 double faults by saving six of seven break points and will next face No. 8 seed Adrian Mannarino, a 6-3, 6-3 winner against Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic.
Fifteen aces helped No. 5 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime pull out a hard-fought 4-6, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (4) victory against Egor Gerasimov of Belarus. No. 7 Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany breezed past Italy’s Marco Cecchinato 6-3, 6-1. Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina advanced with a 7-6 (3), 6-3 win over American Steve Johnson.
