GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — In-person early voting begins Tuesday throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Voters who want another voting option besides voting in-person on election day or mailing their absentee ballot in can vote absentee in-person at a designated location in their municipality. In Green Bay, that’s city hall.
“They come down and they can vote and their ballot is put in an envelope and put in with all the other absentee ballots,” Celestine Jeffries, Chief of Staff to Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich, explains. “They are opened and counted on election day.”
Jeffries says it’s a good option for working people who need flexibility in their schedule.
“Wisconsinites are upstanding voters. Our voting turnout is very high here,” Jeffries told WTAQ. “I expect people will be coming out for in-person absentee voting.”
Voters should check with their municipalities to find times and dates for in-person absentee voting. In Green Bay, you can find the list of dates and times here.
