A 15 year old from Fond du Lac is facing charges following threats involving a mass shooting event. Fond Du Lac Police officials say an investigation into the threats began following a tip reported to authorities by someone living outside the US, who had online interactions with the teen.
Fond Du Lac detectives investigating the incident executed a search warrant at the juvenile’s home, where they seized multiple firearms, a computer, and a cell phone. As a result of the investigation, Fond du Lac police referred one count of terrorist threats and one count of disorderly conduct to be considered by Fond Du Lac County Human Services Youth Justice.
Officials say the investigation remains active, and they encourage residents to report threats, concerning behaviors, or information suggesting a possible risk of violence to authorities.
