Sheboygan has a new Alderperson after the Common Council voted last night to select Drew Phillips to replace Grazia Perrella in the 7th District.
Phillips is a 2017 graduate of UW-La Crosse who transitioned from his job as a software developer to become a teacher in Sheboygan. He was also elected to the Sheboygan County Board District 7 seat this past spring, a position he will also defend in today’s election.
Phillips’ election comes on the same date that Alder Trey Mitchell announced his intent to resign his seat on November 17th. Another round of nominations and an election will be needed to fill the District 9 seat through the conclusion of the term ending in April next year.
