Progress continues on several Wisconsin DOT highway projects in Sheboygan County, leaving much traffic unobstructed, but some measures will require extra attention and patience from motorists at times.
This week on I-43, the contractor will complete work on the County PP overpass, which will still employ a temporary signal until the work is done. On the interstate itself, rumble strip, shouldering, guardrail, and pavement marking operations will take place between Highways 28 and 42. Sign structure work will continue on Westbound Highway 23 between Taylor Drive and County Highway Y.
Drivers will encounter various nightly lane closures on I-43 Sundays through Fridays, while drivers on Highway 23 will deal with daily lane closures Tuesday through Friday in both directions between Taylor Drive and I-43. Drivers are being asked to pay attention to signage.
– Highway 28 –
Highway 28 resurfacing continues this week with installation of the new guardrail and the grinding of rumble strips. Once that’s complete, centerline pavement markings will be applied. While the road is open, drivers may encounter flagging operations.
