With the pre-election season ramping up, those looking to access Wisconsin’s MyVote website will need to work around a planned outage on Friday. The Wisconsin Elections Commission said that MyVotewi.gov will undergo maintenance and upgrades between 5 PM and 10 PM on Friday. The work is said to be related to the need to keep up with security needs and rapidly-identified threats, making the outage necessary even in the midst of the approaching elections.
Those attempting to access the site during those hours will see a maintenance message, but once completed, users should see no difference in their online access to online voter registration, checking registration status, requesting an absentee ballot, finding polling places, and seeing what’s on the ballot.
