A pair of accidents have caused the closure of northbound I-43 today. The first incident happened late this morning when reports indicate that a semi tipped over, trapping the driver in the cab. Diesel fuel began leaking and fire protection crews were called in.
Not too long after, another accident in the stretch between Oostburg and Highway V was reported with at least one person requiring treatment.
Just before noon, the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center announced the closure of northbound I-43 at the Oostburg/Foster Road exit, with traffic diverted to Highway V. No further information was immediately available.
