Roma M. Perronne, age 84, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
She was born in Fond du Lac on May 27, 1942, to the late Erwin and Kunigunda (Meyers) Woelfel. She graduated from Chilton High School in 1960. Roma was a crossing guard in Sheboygan Falls for over 37 years and thoroughly enjoyed the daily interactions with the children.
On September 15, 1962, Roma was united in marriage to Kenneth Perronne at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilton. Together, they shared nearly 60 years of marriage before Ken preceded her in death on January 31, 2022. Roma enjoyed bowling, polka dancing, the Brewers and Packers, and playing cards with their card club, a tradition she and Ken shared for 57 years. She was also known for canning her famous pickles and making Christmas cutout cookies for her family. Roma and Ken loved traveling together and made many wonderful memories along the way, with some of their favorite destinations being Ireland, Hawaii, Mexico, Spain, San Diego, Marco Island, Florida, and a cruise to the Bahamas.
Roma is survived by her children, Rita (Tim) Braun and their children, Paul (Carly) Braun, August and Noah (Emily) Braun; Rich (Angie) Perronne and their children, Trevor (Ashley) and Brett (Emilee) Perronne, Alexandra (Shandon) Hamilton and Anna (Stephen) and Ashlyn Laux; Ron (Karen) Perronne and their children, Joshua (Carly) Klopf and Jacob Klopf; 13 great-grandchildren, Joy, Jason, Josephine, Juliet, Justin, Victoria, Brynn, Barrett, Jazlyn, Coletyn, Oaklyn, Ada and Elle. She is further survived by her siblings, Rita Hren, Tom “Doc” (Jane) Woelfel and Kris (Mike) Bierman and sisters-in-law, Jane Woelfel and Marilyn Perronne, and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Roma was preceded in death by her brother, Willard Woelfel and her in-laws, Melvin and Donald (Nanc) Perronne, Tony Hren, and nephew, Todd Woelfel.
A Memorial Service for Roma will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road in Howards Grove. The family will greet visitors on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Roma will be laid to rest next to Ken at the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Roma’s name.
