The August figures released on Thursday from the Wisconsin Realtors Association show Sheboygan County home sales remain unfazed by rising prices and affordability issues driven by market demand and higher interest rates. Tight supplies and an average 30-year mortgage rate of 6.67% caused most of Wisconsin to see weaker sales, but Sheboygan County saw no change in units sold compared to August of 2025. Among surrounding counties, Washington saw a nearly 38% (37.9) decline in units sold, while Manitowoc County sales were up 35%, showing that location really is a factor in real estate.
The median Sheboygan County price in August was $345,000, a gain of 7.8% since last August, leading all surrounding counties, while prices declined in Fond du Lac and Manitowoc Counties.
Sheboygan County had a 3.6 month inventory in August, up a tenth from last year, and at 61 days, there was no change in the time the average home spent on the market in the past year.
