Dolores Seidlitz, 98, of Sheboygan passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2026. Dolores was born in Sheboygan on May 16, 1928, to the late Frank and Helen (Schrader) Damrow. She attended Holy Name Grade School and graduated from Central High School in 1946. Dolores married Daniel Seidlitz in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1990. Dolores attended Immaculate Conception Church. Together with her husband she co-operated Dan’s Grill, a popular restaurant in Sheboygan until about 1967. Afterwards she worked at Penny’s for many years in the drapery department.
Dolores regularly went up north to the family cabin with her siblings and many of their children and grandchildren. In her younger years she was on a miniature bowling team and enjoyed cocktails with friends. She also liked travelling to various places across the U.S. Dolores is remembered for her kindness and helpfulness, especially in the raising of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
After her husband Daniel’s death in 1990, she had a long-time companionship with Leroy Terhardt who passed away in 2014. She is survived by her children, Steven (Bonnie) Seidlitz, Richard Seidlitz, and Larry (Suja) Seidlitz; daughter-in-law Michelle Seidlitz; siblings: Charles (Nancy) Damrow and Patricia (Henry) Russart; grandchildren include John’s children William (Erin) Seidlitz and Christine (Wally) Kunstman, Steve and Bonnie’s son Blair, and Richard’s children Faedra (Brent) Mattox, Benjamin Seidlitz, and Adam Seidlitz. She also loved her eight great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son John, daughter-in-law Wendy Seidlitz, and grandson Grant Seidlitz (son of Steve and Bonnie), and eight siblings: Jerome (Louella) Damrow, Lorraine Damrow (Marvin Haese), Dorothy (Elroy) Wallander, Robert Damrow, Jack Damrow, James (Audrey) Damrow, Peter (Betty) Damrow, and Paul (Darlene) Damrow.
Family and friends may gather at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan on Monday September 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday September 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Paul Fliss will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
