Daniel R. Berg, 90, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at his home. Dan was born March 6, 1936 to the late Benjamin and Norma (Zastrow) Berg in Sheboygan. He graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1953 and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1953 to 1963. He was a Huber Law Officer for Sheboygan County Sherrif Department for 18 years until his retirement in 1993. Dan served as an Alderman in Sheboygan and was very active in the City Council. He had a heart of compassion and always saw the bright side in people, often giving them the benefit of doubt when others wouldn’t.
Dan will be missed by his three children, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in 2022.
There will be a private burial at Wildwood Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dan’s neighbors Phil and Della Nohl, Vicki Dietz, Valerie Thalacker, and Tim and Cheryl Nack for their amazing friendship, support and care for Dan.
