Lakeshore College in Cleveland has received $1.5 million in State funding to expand its ability to improve student success, expand workforce training, and strengthen educational pathways across the region. The money comes from the Wisconsin Technical College System and is aimed at reducing gaps in student achievement and increasing program completion rates as part of Lakeshore’s ongoing commitment to its students.
One portion of the grant will support the expansion of the college’s Maintenance Mechanic Millwright apprenticeship program, while another portion will be directed to the Dental Hygiene program. Lakeshore’s collaboration with K-12 partners will also expand thanks to the funding, which will help high school students earn dual credit, transition more smoothly into postsecondary education, and gain the skills needed to enter the workforce with confidence.
