A recent veto of legislation targeting Wisconsin’s regulatory burden on businesses will be the subject of a discussion this afternoon in Sheboygan.
Americans for Prosperity will host Republican State Representative Lindee Brill along with Lucas Vebber of the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty in a 5:30 PM event at the AFP Sheboygan Field Office on South Pier Drive. They’ll discuss the veto and map out the next steps for regulatory relief they intend to undertake in Wisconsin.
The legislation, called the Red Tape Reset, would have modernized the state’s regulatory system, which organizers claim could have helped Wisconsin’s economy grow by $6.6 billion with just a 10% reduction of that burden…and even larger benefits through more reductions. The veto protects over 165,000 government regulations still on the books.
