Alice Mae Mlejnek of Sheboygan, WI, 89, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on March 14th, 2026. She was born May 19th,1936 in Lidgerwood, ND to William and Anna (Arth) Wacha.
She married Robert J. Mlejnek on July 15th, 1957 in Lidgerwood, ND where they started their family and later moved to Sheboygan, WI. She was employed at St. Nicholas Hospital where she worked reliably for 25 years as a housekeeper.
In her free time, she enjoyed making ceramics, crocheting, reading books, sitting outside in the spring and summer weather on her swing. She absolutely loved and enjoyed having family around her, she especially loved visiting with all the great and great-great-grandchildren. They always brought a smile to her beautiful face. She had a never-ending love for Elvis Presley, and listening to country music. Alice will be deeply missed for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support of those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength, with a unique way of making others feel valued and understood. Her presence brought comfort and joy, and her absence will be felt every day by family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her 5 children, Deborah (Robert) Ten Dolle, Cynthia Mlejnek, Gary Mlejnek, Keith (Cheryl) Mlejnek and William Mlejnek; 3 sisters, Betty Maczkowicz, Anita (Ken) Ronning, Rose (Butch) Lesner; 1 sister-in-law, Caroline Wacha; 6 grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Mesun, Jonathan (Gina) Hernandez, Angela (Zach) Dorow, Cassandra Mlejnek, Rachel Mlejnek, and Hunter Mlejnek;
17 great grandchildren, Sean (Abby), Chaze, Joshua Jr, Owen, Miguel, Josue, Rian, Jaxon, Meloni, Bentlee, Anayiah, Imunique, Damari, Sophia, Sebastian, Stevie and Weston;
3 great-great-grandchildren Nova, Wyatt and Emberly. As well as other relatives and friends.
Alice was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert J. Mlejnek; her son, Dale Mlejnek; her parents, William (Anna) Wacha; her brothers, Robert, Larry and Edward Wacha.
Visitation will be held at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Center, 1201 N. 8th St., Sheboygan, WI, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave., Kohler, WI.
