Winter-weary Wisconsinites are about to get a break from the weather, but that’s after dealing with another potential slippery commute this morning.
Only a light dusting of snow had fallen on area roadways as of early this morning, but with temperatures in the teens and a little freezing drizzle mixed in at times, the National Weather Service said motorists should be careful in case scattered slippery spots show up. That threat, though, is more significant along, and west of I-39 where a few inches of snow could collect before exiting the state from west to east later this morning, and a brief burst of freezing drizzle could accompany that exit here as well.

Wisconsin’s 511 road map showed generally good driving conditions in Sheboygan County as of 4 AM.
Better weather is not far away, and after some overnight rain that could be mixed with snow before midnight, Thursday should turn partly sunny with highs near 40. Even milder conditions are expected Friday, with high temperatures possibly returning to the 50s by Saturday.
