The occupants of the Reiss building that suffered damage during Friday’s wind storm are back in the office thanks to some quick response.
A statement issued by Habush Habush & Rottier said that their staff had to evacuate their law offices after high winds tore off roof material and displaced some of the building’s bricks. Sheboygan Police, Firefighters and other emergency responders assisted in the evacuation, and temporary repairs to stabilize the roof were completed on Saturday afternoon, allowing the tenants’ return by Saturday evening.
Christine Esser, one of the lawyers at Habush, said that they were grateful for the quick response from law enforcement and emergency personnel who helped ensure everyone was evacuated safely, and also voiced appreciation for the many clients and colleagues who reached out to check on the team.
The law firm also thanked the Risse Condominium Association for quickly coordinating repairs, and said that a new roof would be installed later this spring or summer.
