Two local institutions are sending teams to compete at the 53rd annual SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference in Madison. Competitions take place Tuesday, April 7th and Wednesday the 8th at several venues with Opening and Awards ceremonies held at the Alliant Energy Center.
More than 1,750 middle, high school, and college/post-secondary students will compete while business and industry representatives from over 100 companies participate in the conference.
Howards Grove High School, which topped two categories in the regionals earlier this month, will participate, as will a team from Lakeshore College. The first-place winners in Madison will go on to compete in the National SkillsUSA Championships June 1-5 in Atlanta, Georgia.
