Dale Kuhn, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 12, 2026. Dale was born on August 16, 1956, to the late George and Dorothy Kuhn (née Scharinger). He graduated from Oostburg High School in 1975. On May 2, 1987, he was united in marriage to Judy Kregel.
Dale began working for the City of Sheboygan in 1977 as a Sanitation Operator, where he dedicated 37 years of service before retiring in 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy; his daughters, Stephanie, Jennifer (Chad) Spitz, and Kristin (Greg) Koschak; his grandchildren, Cameron, Connor, Finley, and Keegan Spitz, and Grayson Koschak; with another grandson, Baby Boy Koschak, expected soon; and his mother-in-law, Sharon Kregel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Kuhn; his daughter, Angela; his father-in-law, Duane “Wimpy” Kregel; and his sister-in-law, Tammy Kregel.
Dale had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke to make others smile. He enjoyed spending time working on his model train collection and took pride in building and expanding his layouts. Dale was also a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, and you could often hear him cheering them on during football season.
A memorial service for Dale will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, with Rev. Christian Gugel officiating. Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his name.
His family would like to extend their thanks to the Aurora At Home Hospice team, especially Jocelyn and Cerrenity, as well as the staff at Sheboygan Health Services for their care and compassion.
