Focus is intensifying on possible weekend weather complications at the National Weather Service in Milwaukee. What’s complicating is the uncertainty over the track of a storm that could be one of the most significant of the current winter season in Wisconsin…or not.
Whatever happens should begin in some portion of southern Wisconsin on Saturday night and continue through Sunday night. Most of southern Wisconsin – including Sheboygan County – should expect to receive accumulating snow. While an area of snowfall exceeding 8 inches is expected to fall, exactly where remains highly uncertain. But for now the public is being advised to stay prepared for significant travel impacts in any areas of heavy snow and blustery winds that could result.
The heaviest snow is expected to fall on an east-west axis positioned across Wisconsin, but that could be north, central or south, and blizzard conditions aren’t being ruled out.
The bottom line, for now, is for travelers to be flexible with their plans, and for all to keep up with forecasts.
