Federal indictments were issued on March 3rd against a 27-year-old Manitowoc man alleging that he was responsible for the transportation of child pornography. The man was identified as Zachariah R. Breihof.
Wisconsin Circuit Court records show that Breihof had been charged in April of last year with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, each a Class-D felony punishable by 25 years in prison, up to $100,000 in fines, or both. He was also charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. The state’s case remains open.
The federal indictments stem from the allegation that in January of 2025 he transported the materials across state lines. If convicted of the federal indictment, Breihof would spend a mandatory 5 years, up to 20 years in federal prison, fined a maximum $250,000, and spend from 5 years to lifetime on supervised release. The Manitowoc Police Department assisted the US DOJ in developing federal charges.
