Graduating high school seniors with exceptional musical talent have until tomorrow to apply for a the 56th annual Senior Honor Recital competition. This competition is open to graduating high school senior students in Sheboygan County or graduating high school senior students of the Michibago Music Teachers Association.
This event gives the young musicians an opportunity to gain valuable audition experience while competing for a recital appearance at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, earn monetary awards generously provided by Tricia Abbott-Marton and Michibago Music Teachers Association, as well as a scholarship award provided by Lakeland University.
Winners are selected from the audition process. Each winner will be awarded a $200 honorarium, as well as a $3,000 per year, renewable Helen Boatwright Scholarship to Lakeland University.
Applications must be received by 5 PM Friday in person, by mail, or by email to the JMKAC.
