HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital
Seasonal visitor guidelines are in place at HSHS St Nicholas Hospital.
Officials are reminding visitors that this is prime season for colds and influenza. In order to protect the safety of patients and staff, visitors with colds or illnesses are being asked to stay home. Hospital officials say you should not visit the hospital if you are experiencing symptoms including fever, chills, sore throat, body or muscle aches, headache, cough or runny nose, or if you are under 18 years old.
A limit of only two people are allowed to visit a patient at any one time. Finally, officials remind you that Soap and water or hand sanitizers are the most effective ways to prevent respiratory illness transmission and should be used when entering and exiting patient rooms.
