The first draft of a plan that lays out the guidelines to progress for the next two decades in Sheboygan will be presented for public review in about four weeks.
The update to the comprehensive plan has been in development by the City with assistance from the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission, a step which was last done on 2011. The newly-updated plan addresses growth, development, housing, transportation, land use, and community priorities over the next 20 years.
As community input is a critical part of the process, residents, business owners, and community stakeholders are encouraged to attend an open house at Uptown Social in two sessions on Thursday, March 19th: from noon until 2 PM, and from 5 until 7 PM.
Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission staff will present the draft plan and be available during both sessions to answer questions and discuss key elements of the plan. Reservations are not required, and either session is available by choice.
