A pledge by Green Bay star quarterback Jordan Love is coming to fruition for 46 schools in both Wisconsin and California, several in our area. It’s the season’s outcome of Love’s “10ve for Cleats” campaign that ties Love’s performance to the donation of new Nike cleats to youth sports teams in Wisconsin and his hometown of Bakersfield, California, for every touchdown he scored – passing and rushing.
This year, Love’s foundation received 169 applications in all, 74 of those from different Wisconsin cities, and from our area both the Ozaukee/Random Lake Girls Soccer, and the New Holstein High School Football programs were selected as recipients.
This is the second year for the 10ve for Cleats campaign of the Hands of 10ve Foundation in cooperation with corporate partner U.S. Venture, and sports marketing agency Capture Sports & Entertainment.
