Lawrence “Larry” Julius Parnitzke passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 83. He was born on January 16, 1942, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Gertrude and Julius Edward Parnitzke.
Larry graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan. On September 25, 1963, he married Bonnie Klein at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
He was a man who valued hard work, loyalty, and time well spent. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling with friends. What made these activities more special were doing them with the people he loved most, his sons and grandchildren. Northern Wisconsin and Lake Michigan were his favorite places—where he could relax and enjoy the quiet.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his sons Todd Parnitzke, Terry (Ann) Parnitzke, and Troy (Julia) Parnitzke; and his grandchildren Zack, Leah, Sam, Rayanna, Claire, Jacob, and Wesley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Julius Parnitzke; his brother, William Parnitzke; and his sister, Trudy Forkins.
Larry will be remembered for his sense of humor and wit, and his telling of the “hit and run at Schmitty’s” will live on in Parnitzke lore. He will mostly be remembered for his love and commitment to “Ludy May” for 63 wonderful years, his boys, and his grandchildren.
Private family services will take place for Larry.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice and Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center for their service, care, and support.
