Snow banks and trash barrels don’t mix well, but the City of Sheboygan is asking its residents to take care when placing those out for collection. The City took to social media on Wednesday, noting that snow, cold, and winter weather do NOT change the collection day…that is unless the City calls for a delay. And in order to avoid a missed pickup, the DPW is offering some reminders.
First, place carts on a clear, level surface. If there’s not room at the end of the driveway, then shovel a space parallel to the driveway or walkway where they can be safely placed, four feet apart from other carts or objects, and never put them in the street.
Finally, carts must be out by 7:30 AM and removed by 6 PM.
