Renate “Renee” Von der Puetten, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
She was born in Germany on November 6, 1931, to the late Heinrich and Helene Keil. On June 11, 1955, Renate was united in marriage to Friedrich Von der Puetten and in 1956, they both immigrated to the United States together. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2012. Renate was a faithful member of Zion Evangelical Covenant Church since 1956.
In her younger years, Renate enjoyed bowling and golfing with Friedrich. Above all, family meant the world to her and she was an amazing mother. She took pride in her flower garden, growing many beautiful rose bushes in the yard. Everyone was always greeted with a warm smile, a big hug and an insistence on a snack. She put everybody before herself and she will be greatly missed by so many.
Renate is survived by her sons, Frank (Anita) Von der Puetten and Ralph Von der Puetten, both of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Elisabeth Hilbig of Germany; a brother-in-law, Gerhard (Elsbeth) Von der Puetten of Germany; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Along with her husband and parents, Renate was preceded in death by her sister, Inge (Siegfried) Szesny; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Hannelore (Heinz) Berger and Margarete (Guenther) Uhlig.
