The Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit along with the Sheboygan Drug Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Green Bay office and the Wisconsin State Patrol, coordinated to stop a fentanyl distribution operation in Northeast Wisconsin. Although the events leading to the arrests and eventual convictions of two of three defendants dates back nearly a year, the size of the cache of drugs involved was only now revealed.
Following surveillance conducted on January 6, 2025, Dylan Hock, Trevor Hick, and Jose Gamez, all residents of Arizona, were arrested following a traffic stop in Manitowoc County. A search of the vehicle revealed 43.2 pounds of fentanyl disguised as prescription medication. With an estimated street value of $5.8 million, the seizure represents the largest fentanyl pill seizure in Manitowoc County, if not the largest ever in Wisconsin state history.
On November 20th, Dylan Hock was convicted of conspiracy to manufacture and deliver fentanyl and was sentenced to 10 years of initial confinement, followed by 10 years of extended supervision.
On December 3rd, Trevor Hock entered a guilty plea to a charge of conspiracy to manufacture and deliver fentanyl. He will be sentenced on February 10th.
Jose Gamez remains in custody on allegations of being a party to the crime of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and is awaiting future court proceedings.
