Sheboygan’s Above & Beyond Children’s Museum has something special in store for kids and their families on this “Giving Tuesday” with a Free Day of Play.
The idea for Giving Tuesday is to do good, whether that’s through action or a donation. And while kids enjoy the action at the museum at no charge, Above & Beyond is hoping for donations to the “Museums For All” program, which offers daily admission and museum memberships at a reduced rate. Between 30 and 35 percent of museum members currently participate at a sliding scale starting at $30, and families enrolled in SNAP/FoodShare, Medicaid, WIC, and other qualifying programs have the opportunity to visit Above & Beyond for just $3 per person instead of the usual $10 single visit rate.
In addition to three floors of play today, TDS, which makes “STEAM”-based programs, will sponsor a special Frosty Physics Play Lab onsite between 10 and 11 AM, and everyone attending the Museum today will learn a story of accessibility and appreciation. The museum itself will be open today from 9 AM until 4 PM.
