A former alderman from the community of Omro, west of Oshkosh, has entered a plea of guilty to charges of possessing child sexual abuse material.
44-year-old Jason Reeves admitted to receiving child pornography over the internet. He came under scrutiny after investigators with the Wisconsin DOJ received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and a search of his residence this past April revealed the materials.
Reeves faces a mandatory 5 years’ imprisonment and up to 20 years of incarceration. He may also be fined up to $250,000 and would be required to register as a sexual offender under state and federal law. Sentencing is set for February 20th in US District Court.
