A tradition dating back to Germany in the 1800s is being given a new twist – or more accurately, a foamy head by local brewer 3 Sheeps. The original Advent calendar evolved to include small doors with a chocolate treat behind each one opened, one-at-a-time each day until Christmas.
The adult version by 3 Sheeps is called the “Beers of Christmas” advent calendar; a box featuring a surprise mix of 12 beers – four barrel-aged, four core favorites, and four limited releases, and will sell for $65 each at the taproom beginning at 11 AM on Black Friday, November 28th.
3 Sheeps founder, Grant Pauly, said the idea harmonizes with the concept of sharing something you love with the people you care about, and said that the 12 Beers of Christmas calendar is a way for them to be part of those moments.
Only 100 of the calendars will be available, and only during the 3 Sheeps Holiday Market Friday and Saturday, November 28th and 29th.
